This year, Fiagros (Investment Funds in Agroindustrial Productive Chains) are undergoing tax and regulatory changes. The most significant impacts are expected to come from changes

Fiagro is a financial instrument aimed at raising funds from investors for application in agribusiness assets, whether in rural properties or sector activities. Investments involve a variety of assets such as credit rights, real estate, securities, and equity interests, provided they are related to the agribusiness production chain.

Some relevant changes regarding Fiagros can already be anticipated. “The first will be the possibility of creating multimarket funds. Fiagros will be able to be equated with multimarket funds, provided they maintain a balanced exposure in the three investment risk factors (real estate, credit rights, and equity interests), limiting each to one-third of the net asset value. There are still some uncertainties in this regard, as different types of Fiagro have distinct regulations, and it is not yet known which one will guide these multimarket funds,” explain Tiago and Cristiano.
